Whether you're in Semington, across Wiltshire, or watching from the other side of the world โ there is a place for you in this campaign.
Our Community
The Somerset Arms is more than just a building. Saving it is a cause that has drawn support from near and far โ and we want to hear from all of you.
The Semington Community Benefit Society was formed to put the Somerset Arms back into the hands of the community โ permanently. That community extends far beyond the village boundary. We have already heard from supporters across Wiltshire, from other parts of the United Kingdom, and even from overseas โ people who left Semington years ago but still carry it with them, and people who simply believe that community pubs are worth fighting for.
Our meetings are open to everyone. Our share offer, when it launches, will be open to everyone. If you care about what we are doing, you belong here.
Residents and neighbours โ past and present โ are the heart of this campaign. Come to our meetings, join the CBS, and help shape what the Somerset Arms becomes.
Supporters from across Wiltshire and the wider country have already pledged their backing. You do not need to live in the village to care about preserving it โ and you are warmly invited to be part of this.
We have received interest from abroad โ from those who once called Semington home, and friends of the English village pub who want to see this tradition survive. Distance is no barrier to membership or involvement.

Submit a non-binding expression of interest ahead of our formal community share offer. It helps us plan and demonstrates the scale of support.

Share our campaign on social media, tell your friends, or introduce us to anyone who might want to support saving a village landmark.
